Spanish Super Cup to release audios of referee's conversations with VAR

The new edition of the Spanish Super Cup comes with new features from the refereeing point of view. In addition to the use of semi-automatic offside, which was already used last season, this year all fans will be able to listen to the referees' conversations when there is a VAR review and the referee has to go to the on-field monitor.

The objective of the Technical Committee of Referees of the Royal Spanish Football Federation is to continue advancing on the path of transparency and understanding of the referees' work for the benefit of all football’s stakeholders and the fans themselves.

The audios will be made public once the matches have finished on the television platform that will broadcast the matches in Spain: Movistar +. Subsequently, it will be the Spanish Football Federation itself who will make the recordings available to everyone across their social networks.
