Spanish Women’s National Team to find out Olympic Games opponents this Wednesday.
The draw for the Women's Olympic Football Tournament Paris 2024 will be held in the French capital this Wednesday, 20 March, at 20.00 and will reveal the makeup of the three groups of four teams into which the 16 teams that qualify for the finals will be drawn.
The Spanish national team, reigning World Cup and the Women's Nations League champions, are taking part in the Women's Olympic Football Tournament for the first time in their history. A golden generation is looking to continue winning titles on their Olympic debut.
Currently, 10 out of 12 teams have already qualified for the Women's Olympic Football Tournament Paris 2024: Spain, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, France, Germany, Japan, New Zealand and USA. The identity of the two remaining teams, from the CAF region, will be known after the final round of African qualifiers in early April.
The 12 qualified nations will be divided into three groups of four teams. At the draw, the teams will be drawn into four pots of three teams each according to the latest FIFA Women's World Rankings on 15 March 2024:

The Women's Olympic Football Tournament will be played across seven venues: Paris, Nantes, Bordeaux, Marseille, Nice, Saint-Étienne and Lyon from 25 July (the day before the opening ceremony) to 10 August, when the two finalists will battle it out for the gold medal.
Montse Tomé's team achieved their historic qualification for the Olympic Games after beating the Netherlands in the semi-finals of the most recent edition of the Women's Nations League, a competition they would go on to win days later.
