The men’s national coach, Santi Denia, has announced the list of 22 players (18+4) who will compete in the Men's Olympic Football Tournament at the Paris Games.

To announce the names of the players who will represent Spain at the Olympic Games, some of the heroes who won the only gold medal to date at the Barcelona Olympic Games 32 years ago have been honoured. Toni Jiménez, 'Chapi' Ferrer, José Emilio Amavisca and Javier Manjarín fulfilled the dream of their generation by standing at the top of the podium representing their country in an Olympic event to remember. Now, they have helped Santi Denia exceptionally by naming the 22 players (18+4) who will fight to repeat their feat.

‘Some games are special'.

The four Olympic medallists have shared their experience with the coach and conveyed their message of encouragement and support to the internationals who will represent Spain in Paris.

The twenty players who began their preparation on 1 July and the two players called up who are playing in the European Championships in Germany will travel to France on Wednesday 17 July to play a preparatory match against the United States on the 18th. The following day, the squad will travel to Paris, the location of the Spanish Olympic Team’s first match.
