The Spanish senior men's national team has been assigned their referee for the match this Monday 24 June at the Düsseldorf Arena. The figure of Glenn Nyberg has been appointed by UEFA to take charge of the match against Albania.
Born in the Nordic town of Säter 35 years ago, Nyberg is known to coach Luis de la Fuente and internationals Marc Cucurella and Martín Zubimendi, whom he refereed in the semifinal of the U21 European Under-21 Championships in Slovenia in 2021 against Portugal.

Next Monday, the Swedish referee is to be assisted on the sidelines by his compatriots Mahbod Beigi and Andreas Söderkvist, with Ukraine's Oleksandr Bekut acting as fourth official.
As far as the VAR room is concerned, Germany's Christian Dingert will be the video assistant referee for the match, with England's David Coote and Germany's Marco Fritz providing VAR support.
