The Copa Del Rey Semi-Final Draw this Friday at 13.00

The teams that qualify for the next round will play the first two-legged ties of this year’s tournament.

This Tuesday sees the start of the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey, which from today until Thursday will see four mouthwatering matches in the battle for a place in the semi-finals. The draw for the second last stage of the competition has been confirmed for this Friday, 26 January, at 1pm, when we will find out which teams will play each other for a place in the final of the Copa del Rey.

The semi-finals will be played over two legs, the first two-legged ties of the tournament at this semi-final stage and the matches are scheduled for the weeks of 5 February (the first legs) and 26 February (the second legs).

As usual, the draw will take place in the Luis Aragonés Hall at the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas, headquarters of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, and will be broadcast on RTVE's Teledeporte and Movistar+, as well as on the RFEF's official channels.

 

The eight teams that will be playing for a place in the draw over the next three days now know when the draw will be held and as such excitement is building. Two teams have never tasted success in the Copa del Rey (Girona FC and RC Celta de Vigo, four-time runners-up), while the six other teams who have previously gone all the way in the cup, including two true masters of the cup. FC Barcelona have lifted the trophy 31 times, and Athletic Club with their 23 trophies.
