Only a few people can say that they have had a perfect debut for the Spanish national team and Bruna Vilamala is certainly one of them. Yesterday she took to the pitch at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López with Spain losing on the scoreboard against a powerful Danish opposition.

However, the pressure did not show and she showed her class and her ability everytime the ball came her way. Only a matter of hours before, at lunchtime, her team-mates had sung Happy Birthday to her and she was wishing for the gift of victory, although in the end it was she who scored the all-important goal to make it 1-1 and claw Spain back into the match.

The player deflected an Irene Paredes shot off a corner into the net to score on the day of her debut, her birthday and Spain's qualification for Euro 2025, not a bad way to get off the mark.
