The last stop on route to the big final

The second legs of the Copa del Rey semi-finals this week give two teams the most coveted opportunities for a party day out for their fans at La Cartuja in Seville.

This semi-final round, the only two-legged round of the Copa del Rey, has added to the excitement of the best tournament in Spanish football. All the action has been building up to the latter stages which come to a head on 6 April at La Cartuja in Seville, not long to go now.

The four teams playing for glory this week will be hoping to turn their dreams of a trip to Seville's coliseum into reality in the second legs of two matches which are comparable in that they are sure to be tight encounters decided by the smallest of margins.

Real Sociedad and RCD Mallorca will get the action off to a start this Tuesday from 21:30 (La1 and Movistar live). After a goalless draw in the first leg, it means that a win for either of them is what is needed to get to the final, nice and simple, especially as there is no away goals rule in the competition.

Athletic Club and Atlético de Madrid play at the same time but on Thursday 29 February in their clash at San Mamés, with a slight advantage for Los Leones thanks to Álex Berenguer's goal in the first leg.

The team that comes out on top in the second semi-final will play in their home kit later this spring at the final in Seville. All the action will be, as ever, closely followed across the RFEF social media, where you can find out the official starting line-ups, follow the matches with live feed coverage, see all the goals in real time on our official account on X, listen to post-match interviews with the stars, read the most comprehensive match reports or enjoy highlights of the action, amongst many other attractions.
