The Spanish national football team trained this Saturday for the first time with the Adidas Fussballliebe Finale, the leather ball that will be used in the semi-finals and final of the UEFA EURO 2024 in Germany. The design is inspired by the national colours of Germany, as well as the trophy for which the four semi-finalist teams are competing, and differs from the one used until now, at first glance, in its particular silver-grey colour.

But the highlight is on the inside. This is the first official ball produced for a UEFA final to incorporate Connected Ball technology. This technology enables faster and more accurate refereeing decisions - for example, it contributes to UEFA's semi-automated offsides technology - as well as measuring key in-game statistics such as speed, spin and distance.

The Fussballliebe Finale was used for the first time by our internationals in training on Saturday following their qualification for the semi-finals, and will be rolled out on the training pitch at the SV Aasen training centre in Donaueschingen this Sunday. The official match ball is available from today, Sunday, in the adidas.com online shop, as well as in adidas shops and selected retailers, at a price of 150 euros.

What the ball looks like

The official Fussballliebe Finale ball revamps the iconic visual elements of the group stage ball, with its prominent black wings accented with vibrant edges, curves and dots that take on the unmistakable black, red and gold of host nation Germany.

The white base is replaced by a striking silver, representing the silver trophy for which the 4 finalist teams are competing.  The silver colour of the ball has been specially developed and tested with athletes to ensure that it stands out on the pitch without reflecting light off the surface.

The innovations continue in the ball’s core, called CTR-CORE, designed to improve accuracy and consistency with maximum shape and air retention, and a PRECISIONSHELL polyurethane (PU) skin with micro and macro textures and a 20-piece panel shape designed to improve aerodynamics.

Today, Adidas also unveils a new ball sock for the pre-match ceremonies of the semi-finals and final matches. Designed by Gonzales Haase AAS, an innovative Berlin-based artistic duo known for their innovative approach, the plinth is made of anodised aluminium in the shape of a triangular prism. The prism is made up of 54 triangles, representing the 54 UEFA associations that competed in the qualifying rounds for UEFA EURO 2024TM.

The Official Match Ball of the Fussballliebe Finale upholds Adidas' commitment to contribute 1% of net sales to Common Goal, supporting initiatives that drive lasting social change for disadvantaged communities, helping to create a better and more inclusive future through football.
