The National Teams to Play in Valencia

The Board of Directors of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, in its first meeting held this Thursday in Madrid, has decided that the men’s and women’s senior National football Teams are to play their upcoming matches in Valencia.
The Spanish women’s National Team will play their first group stage match of the UEFA Women’s Nations League on Friday, 21 February, against Belgium at the Ciutat de València stadium. This will be their first fixture of 2025, a year in which they face new challenges, including defending their UEFA Women’s Nations League title and competing in the European Championships in Switzerland in July.
Meanwhile, the Spanish men’s National Team will play the second leg of the UEFA Nations League quarter-finals against the Netherlands on Sunday, 23 March, at Mestalla stadium. Luis de la Fuente’s side, reigning European champions, aim to become the first team to defend the UEFA Nations League title after winning it in Rotterdam in 2023.
As such, Spanish football hopes to send a new message of solidarity and support to those affected by the storms that severely impacted the Valencian Community last October.
