The presidents of the RFEF, FPF, and FRMF strengthen the unity of the candidacy for the World Cup.

At the same time the top leaders were meeting in Lisbon, a meeting of the Candidacy Committee took place in Madrid.

The presidents of the football federations of Morocco, Portugal, and Spain met this morning to continue the joint candidacy work for the 2030 World Cup, and they have agreed to submit the letter of intent to the tournament organization, one of the requirements of the application process, on October 28th.

The summit of leaders brought together Pedro Rocha (Real Spanish Football Federation), Fernando Gomes (Portuguese Football Federation), and Fouzi Lekjaa (Royal Moroccan Football Federation); and it served to continue preparing the candidacy that unites two continents and aspires to be the best in the history of a World Cup.

This is the second time the presidents of the three Federations have met, and the first time after the FIFA decision regarding the 2030 World Cup was announced.

During the meeting, held at Cidade do Futebol - the headquarters of the FPF - the date of October 28th was set to present the letter of intent to the organization of the World Cup. This will be the first formal step towards the joint candidacy and will demonstrate the commitment of Morocco, Portugal, and Spain to organize a successful World Cup.

The solemn moment will take place in Rabat and will be followed by a press conference attended by the presidents of the three federations.

At the same time, the Candidacy Committee for the 2030 World Cup has continued its work and, also this Wednesday, in Madrid, held a new meeting to monitor the status of the project.
