The RFEF and Andalusian Football begin a new year of collaboration following presidents meeting in Las Rozas.
Rafael Louzán welcomes new RFAF president Pedro Curtido to the Ciudad del Fútbol.
The president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), Rafael Louzán, held a working meeting with the new president of the Royal Andalusian Football Federation (RFAF), Pedro Curtido, at the Ciudad del Fútbol following Curtido’s election to lead Andalusian football this January 2025.
Louzán and Curtido discussed various matters of mutual interest for Spanish and Andalusian football, agreeing that a new phase has begun in which “Andalusian football and the Royal Spanish Football Federation will work hand in hand,” according to the RFAF president.
President Rafael Louzán congratulated the new Andalusian leader and expressed his satisfaction with the working meeting: “We will soon be in Seville addressing and resolving matters of upmost importance for Andalusian football. We are ready to get to work and tackle the shared challenges of strengthening Andalusian football together with the Royal Spanish Football Federation.”
Curtido echoed this sentiment following his meeting with the RFEF president: “We’ve had a very pleasant discussion. President Louzán is a very approachable person, and we’ve always had a close relationship. Truthfully, we’ve reached significant agreements that will benefit both Andalusian football and the RFEF.”
Speaking from the Ciudad del Fútbol, the new RFAF president explained: “We bring a great deal of commitment and enthusiasm, backed by a team of men and women who will give 200% to help our sport grow. Together, we want to develop and take Andalusian football to the very top,” he concluded.
Pedro Curtido Naranjo, who until recently headed the Cádiz football delegation, was elected president of the RFAF on 19 January 2025 with 95% support from Andalusian football.
