The RFEF and FIFA to work together to implement talent development programme in Spain
For three days, the Ciudad del Fútbol has hosted working meetings between various departments of the RFEF and a FIFA team
The headquarters of the Royal Spanish Football Federation has hosted various working meetings over the past three days thanks to the visit of members of FIFA involved in leading the organisation’s talent development programme. Different heads of the areas such as coaching, national teams, competitions and women’s football held working sessions with Tomas Danilevicius and Marco Otero, from FIFA’s Global Football Development Division.
The FIFA representatives had the opportunity to meet with the president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, Rafael Louzán. In addition, the working sessions included meetings with the director of technical development and the men’s senior team, Aitor Karanka; and with the general secretary of the RFEF, Álvaro de Miguel.
FIFA’s Talent Development Programme aims to support member federations in reaching their full potential and ensure that all talented players have the opportunity to be discovered and develop to their full potential. The goal is to create a sustainable legacy for their long-term development by maximising the opportunities of each participating member federation.
