The RFEF commemorates the 8th of March with an exposition focused on women football players in Spain

Until Sunday, the 12th, an accessible exhibition, at the Ciudad del Fútbol, takes trophies or pieces, such as the first boots with which the Spanish women's national team played, out of the display cases of the RFEF Museum.

Women footballers in Spain, their history and successes, are the protagonists of the exhibition accessible to all audiences that, from today until Sunday 1, can be seen at the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas. The exhibition is composed of pieces from the Museum of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) that is located in the federative facilities.

The trophies won, objects as symbolic as the first boots with which the Women's National Team played, or others related to women's refereeing, futsal or beach football, make up this very special exhibition, which can be seen inside the Federation's facilities but outside the Museum itself. Specifically, several information panels are located next to the Luis Aragonés assembly hall, one of the epicenters of the activity of the Ciudad del Fútbol, offering the visitors a must-see experience.

The vice-president of the RFEF, Elvira Andrés, invited all the fans to visit this exhibition, "which shows the important path that women's football has taken since its inception and, specifically, the successes that our women have given to the sport in this country".

A series of mobilizing actions

This is just one of the initiatives that the RFEF, chaired by Luis Rubiales, has promoted to show its support and mobilization for Women's Day on March 8. This action joins the one already launched last weekend, when the referees carried out their work with purple whistles. These whistles will also be used this Wednesday, in the quarter-final matches of the Copa de la Reina that will be played today, as well as in the matches that will take place tomorrow and the day after.

Also, several female sports journalists have starred in a promotional video, under the slogan "Winning has no gender", which also adds to the commitment of the RFEF with equality and tries to raise awareness, from the world of sport, on this date of 8-M. An awareness that has been reinforced by "dyeing" the website, rfef.es, purple as well as the different federative social networks.
