The RFEF incorporates sign language into its institutional events.

A further step has been taken regarding Spanish football´s social commitment, with sign language now integrated into events so that deaf people can receive live information; an initiative that will begin today, on the occasion of the Extraordinary Assembly held at the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas.

The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) will, from today, incorporate sign language into its main institutional events and other occasions that have a special interest among fans. In this way, a further step is being taken towards the inclusion of all fans, offering live information also to those with hearing disabilities.

This social commitment will be implemented for the first time at the Extraordinary Assembly to be held at the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas from 12.30 p.m., and will be extended to other institutional events of interest. A sign language interpreter will provide live information via a stream on the Federation's official website, RFEF.es.

This is one more positive step taken by the institution that runs football in Spain, as part of its objective to make football more inclusive. The Department of Equality, Social Responsibility and Sustainability has launched several initiatives in this regard, such as the narration for visually impaired people for the Spanish National Team matches, the participation of volunteers from the ONCE Foundation to support the organisation of the matches or the installation of sensory rooms for autistic people.
