The working meeting was held at the federation's headquarters, where the Royal Spanish Football Federation was represented by its general director, Manuel Lalinde, Board Member and Legal Advisor Beatriz Seijo, and its Director of International Relations and new Director of the Area for the Organisation of the 2030 World Cup, Eduard Dervishaj.

The RFEF representatives answered all the questions posed by the Vigo City Council delegation, as far as the duty of confidentiality and data protection relating to the other candidate cities for the World Cup allows, in line with the RFEF's commitment to transparency that governs the institution.

On behalf of the governing body of Spanish football, Beatriz Seijo stressed that "we have answered all the questions asked during the meeting. We are in a new era in which we want to do things properly and with transparency", while Manuel Lalinde highlighted that "the RFEF has extended its hand to Vigo City Council to walk together so that both the Galician city and Valencia can finally become World Cup host cities".

Finally, the Royal Spanish Football Federation offered the Vigo City Council delegation its willingness to continue working together if the Galician council considers proposing to FIFA its desire to be a host city for the 2030 World Cup, in the same way that, as RFEF President Rafael Louzán has repeatedly expressed, will be done in the case of the city of Valencia.

Abel Caballero, Mayor of Vigo, gave his nod of approval to the offer from the RFEF, stating at the end of the meeting at the Ciudad del Fútbol that "we have seen the suitability of trying to move forwards together with the goal of Vigo being a host city for the World Cup. We have been informed about the steps ahead and Vigo is the one that desires it most. In this sense, we offer all our cooperation".

All this, without the eventual option of adding these cities to the tournament ever being, in no regard, to the detriment of any of the 11 host cities already included in the bid book that was submitted to FIFA.

It should be remembered, in this regard, that the final selection of host cities for the tournament is and has always been the exclusive prerogative of FIFA, which will ultimately decide which cities are to host the 2030 World Cup.
