Coinciding with the start of the final stretch of the football season, the RFEF headquarters has hosted a valuable conference on matters of Integrity, addressing the latest developments in the fight against match-fixing and promoting clean competition in sport.

The event was opened this Wednesday by Jordi Aparisi, Director of the RFEF Legal Department, alongside Nefer Ruiz, Head of the Compliance Department. Representatives from all regional federations attended, as well as Cristina Díaz, UEFA & FIFA Integrity Officer from Spain’s football governing body.

Experts from Spain’s law enforcement agencies took part in the conference, including personnel from the National Police Centre for Integrity in Sport and Betting (CENPIDA), the National Police’s Gambling Control Unit, and the judicial unit of the Guardia Civil that investigates sports corruption.

Cecilia Pastor, Deputy Director General of Gaming Inspection at the DGOJ (a body under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs), was also among the speakers. The event served to unify protocols and standards of action nationwide, aiming to prevent match-fixing and raise awareness among football stakeholders about the importance of upholding the highest integrity standards across all competitions.
