The RFEF Secretary General inaugurates the workshop for members of disciplinary bodies and instructors of the RFEF.
The Luis Aragonés Hall brought together representatives of disciplinary bodies from all over Spain for a training and knowledge exchange meeting covering the latest developments in disciplinary matters in sport.
‘Sporting discipline is of paramount importance for sport and also, today, for our society’. This is the message with which the RFEF General Secretary, Álvaro de Miguel, welcomed to the Ciudad del Fútbol all the members of disciplinary committees and instructors from all over Spain and from the regional federations who met this Friday at the working sessions organised by the RFEF Legal Department with the aim of sharing the latest developments in the field.
De Miguel explained that ‘it is an honour for me to open these workshops for several reasons. Sporting discipline is a very important area in sport and, for this reason, those of you who are dedicated to it perform a great service to sport. Moreover, we are at a crucial moment in history, in which sporting discipline has acquired greater importance in the social order. This translates into greater responsibility for you all. I know, in this sense, that you do your work with the greatest excitement and professionalism’.
On the other hand, the General Secretary of the RFEF wanted to thank the representatives of the different bodies present in the Luis Aragonés Hall: ‘I thank you all for your presence, as well as all the members of the different bodies of the National Anti-Violence Commission, who have joined the working sessions, as well as the Referees’ Committee’.
Earlier, the director of the RFEF's Legal Department, Jordi Aparisi, kicked off a day of reflections, presentations, talks and conferences in a full auditorium at the federation's headquarters in ‘a changing environment, in which we are working to be able to present our disciplinary code updated and adapted to the new sports law. In the meantime, we must continue to work to the best of our ability,’ he said.
