The Spanish national team to visit Italy on 29 October

The Spanish Women's National football team has  now outlined its schedule for the upcoming October window. In addition to the previously announced friendly match against Canada at the Francisco de la Hera stadium in Almendralejo (Friday 25, at 22:00), Spain will play against Italy on Tuesday 29 (18:15) in Vicenza, the second match of this international window. It is also a friendly that will help the national team to continue to develop on their path climaxing at the European Championships in Switzerland, which will be played from 2 to 27 July 2025.

With the world champions already having qualified for the event, having done their homework in advance by winning their group. This gives them a margin to play friendly matches of a high standard, such as those against Canada and Italy, two of the best teams on the international scene. The North Americans are sixth in the FIFA world rankings and the Europeans, against whom they played in the last qualifying round for the UEFA Women's Nations League, have risen to fourteenth place, showing their growth in recent months.

Spain will begin their October training camp on Monday 21 October and, after preparation at Las Rozas, will play in Almendralejo on Friday 25 October and at the Romeo Menti stadium in Vicenza on Tuesday 29 October. It will be the penultimate international window of 2024 for the national team.
