The Spanish national team will face Italy in the UEFA Nations League semi-finals

The Spanish national team will play on 15 June in Eschede. On the other side, Croatia and the Netherlands will play the other finals match.

The Spanish team will play against Italy in the UEFA Nations League semi-finals. The draw, which took place in Nyon, decided to pair Spain with a very competitive national team. However, they have already played together in the semi-finals in 2021. On that occasion, Spain had a stunning performance and won the match (1-2).

The match will be played on 15 June in Enschede at 20.45, and the other semi-final will be played on 14 June at the same time between Croatia and the Netherlands. The match for third and fourth place will be played on Sunday 18 at 15:00 and the final will take place at 20:45.

The Spanish national team played in the UEFA Nations League finals in 2021, fighting for the trophy against France until the end. In 2023, they qualified being top of the table ahead of Portugal, Switzerland and the Czech Republic, after winning against Portugal in Braga on the final matchday.

The national team is looking forward to 2023 with Luis de la Fuente at the helm. The new national coach will make his debut in March against Norway (in Malaga on 25 March) and Scotland (in Glasgow on 28 March) in the qualifiers for UEFA EURO 2024 held in Germany. In June it is time for the UEFA Nations League and the Spanish national team will compete again in September, October and November.

Luis Rubiales, president of the RFEF, Luis de la Fuente, the national coach, and Albert Luque, director of the national team, attended the draw. Luis Rubiales is in Nyon carrying out his duties as vice-president of UEFA, as there is executive committee of the highest continental football body.
