The squad to face Denmark and Serbia is now down to 24 players after the withdrawal of Dani Carvajal.

Following confirmation of the extent of Dani Carvajal's recent injury and his subsequent withdrawal, Luis de la Fuente has decided not to call up any players to cover the full-back's absence from Spain's squad for the next two official UEFA Nations League qualifiers (12 October, against Denmark in Murcia; 15 October, against Serbia in Cordoba).

As a result, only 24 players are now scheduled to arrive on Monday 7 October from 13:00 to the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas to prepare for the matches against Denmark and Serbia.


The Royal Spanish Football Federation and the family of players that is the Spanish National Team wish Dani Carvajal a successful recovery and we hope to see him back on the pitch and donning the Spain shirt again very soon.
