The visually impaired can enjoy Spain-Georgia in Valladolid

For this match, the RFEF will once again use the audio description system that has so been introduced successfully for almost a year and a half.

The match between Spain and Georgia in Valladolid, on 19 November, will once again feature the specific narration system for visually impaired people that is already becoming the norm and increasingly important in matches involving the Spanish national football team. A system that was launched on 25 March 2022 at La Rosaleda in Malaga, and which helps visually impaired people to follow the action both from inside the stadium and from anywhere in the world.

As per usual, the initiative consists of the descriptive narration of the matches, through the broadcast on a special application. There is no advertising or distractions, only commentary of the game itself, which will be broadcast on the "RFEF Narration for the blind" app.

Obviously, it is a good way to follow the match at home, but using the app when watching the match inside the stadium is a globally inclusive and absolutely enriching experience for visually impaired people who choose to buy their ticket. The excitement of live football, which is uniquely experienced from the stands, is thus brought to everyone with the possibility of keeping up with every detail of the action.

The Royal Spanish Football Federation has been committed to this app, which guarantees universal access to our sport, for 18 months now. Last 26 September, the narration for visually impaired people made its debut in a women's national team match between Spain-Switzerland at the Nuevo Arcángel in Córdoba.

The reception of the initiative has been very positive in all the matches that have been commented on, both by those who use it at home and by those who enjoy it from the stands themselves. In short, it is a question of continuing to break down barriers and making football an inclusive space for all.
