The World Cup star is the star of the Ciudad del Fútbol's Christmas lights.

The national team players starred in the lighting of the Christmas lights this Sunday, with the star celebrating the greatest achievement of this 2023.

In the lead up to their match in Malaga the Spanish National football Team players gathered together in Las Rozas this Sunday for the lighting of the Christmas lights at the Ciudad del Fútbol, headquarters of the RFEF. The Spanish team captains Jenni Hermoso, Irene Paredes and Olga Carmona were in charge of pressing the button to switch on the lights, which have a very special glow.

The star that commemorates the World Cup won in Australia and New Zealand takes pride of place in this light display.

The commemoration of that great achievement in 2023 is one of the highlights of the event, but sustainability has not been neglected. In a sustainable Ciudad del Fútbol, such as Las Rozas, efficient, low-consumption lighting solutions have been chosen in all areas, and the necessary energy is generated by solar panels installed on the pitches and elsewhere. In this way, the Christmas lighting also follows the criteria of energy efficiency and sustainability to which the RFEF is firmly committed.
