Never before has a person celebrated his 17th birthday in the middle of the Spain Senior team's camp, but that record, like so many others, was broken this Saturday by Lamine Yamal.
The Spain international blew out the candles just the day before the final of the European Championships against England.
"I want to win as a present, so let's go for England," said the Catalan, who confessed that he was "very happy to be celebrating this birthday with all of the squad", a comment met with thunderous applause from players and coaching staff.
After congratulating Lamine, the Spain squad will leave early to Berlin on Saturday afternoon before tomorrow’s final.
