Ullevaal Stadion, a century-old venue to secure qualification
Tickets for the duel this Sunday between Norway and Spain, in which the national team will secure their passport to the upcoming Eurocopa in case of victory, have been sold out for days.
The more than 25,000 seats in this venue located north of the city of Oslo will be filled for the occasion, marking the fourth visit of the national team to this old yet charming stadium.
Ullevaal Stadion was conceived over a hundred years ago and officially inaugurated on September 26, 1926, in the presence of then Prince and future King Olaf V of Norway.
Spain, which has never lost at this venue, first visited Ullevaal in April 1996 for a friendly match during which the coach Javier Clemente decided to field the goalkeeper and future sports director of the national team, José Francisco Molina, as a field player.
