The Spanish national team will play their penultimate qualifier for the next European Championship at the Limassol Stadium on Thursday 16 November, where they will face Cyprus at 18:00 (Spanish peninsular time).
A whole year has yet to pass since the first match was played at the stadium, with the first match taking place there on 15 December 2022 with Cypriot First Division game featuring Apollon Limassol and Doxa Katopias (1-0). Despite the stadium´s inauguration date of 25 November 2022.
Currently, up to three teams that call the stadium home: Apollon Limassol, AEL Limassol and Aris Limassol. Given the stadium is relatively new, Spain will play a match at this venue for the first time in its history.
In front of 11,000 spectators, Luis de la Fuente's side will be looking for another victory in this qualification phase for EURO 2024 in Germany.
