Montse Tomé heads to Paiporta to announce her first squad of 2025
This Wednesday 12 February Montse Tomé is due to announce the internationals called up to play the first two matches of the group stage of the UEFA Women's Nations League. The Asturian will travel to the ground zero of the catastrophe, specifically to the Ausiàs March School in Paiporta, one of the worst affected by the tragedy, to face the media from 12:00 and announce her squad.
The aim is to show the support that Spanish football is providing for those affected by the natural disaster. As announced by the Royal Spanish Football Federation, the senior men's and women's national teams will play two matches in Valencia in solidarity with the cause.
The coach will appear at a press conference at 12:00 noon at the Ausiàs March School in Paiporta.
The Spanish national team, reigning champions of the competition, will begin their title defence against Belgium. The match will take place on Friday 21 February in Valencia. Five days later, their rivals are England at Wembley.
