Feeling the support of your fans is always a huge boost, especially on cold and damp afternoons like today in the Ciudad del Fútbol. The many fans filling the stands of Pitch A of the Ciudad del Fútbol cheered on the World Cup and UEFA Women’s Nations League Champions during their first training session of their final international training camp of the year.

The dedicated crowd had the chance to see their idols up close, witnessing how they train, work hard, and battle for every ball with full match intensity even during training. From the stands, the players heard fans calling out their names— adoring boys and girls thrilled to watch them in action and later meet them for photos and autographs with their favourite international stars.

With qualification for Euro 2025 in Switzerland already secured, Montse Tomé’s squad is set to face two strong opponents in this final international window of the year: South Korea on Friday 29th at 7PM at the Cartagonova stadium, and France on Tuesday 3rd December in Nice.

The session was marked by a special visit from Athenea del Castillo, who recently underwent surgery for a fractured collarbone. Unable to join her teammates on the pitch, the Real Madrid international came to Las Rozas to offer her encouragement and support from the sidelines.

There were plenty of highly emotional moments on Pitch A, with children unable to hide their smiles and excitement. Notably, the event also had a charitable side to it, as attendees could support flood victims via a donation through Bizum (code 10687).
