Mon, 17/03/2025 - 16:33

2025 begins on 17 March for the Spanish national team with an international window in which Luis de la Fuente's side will be playing to qualify for the UEFA Nations League final four, which is set to be played in June, with Spain aiming to be there even more than usual as they are hoping to defend their title.

Luis de la Fuente’s internationals were summoned today to the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas to begin preparations for the double-header against the Netherlands. The first of the two matches will be on Dutch soil on 20 March, while the return leg is at home on Sunday 23. On Monday morning, Marc Casadó and Iñigo Martínez withdrew from the squad through injury and Dean Huijsen, who had been called up by Santi Denia's Under-21s, and Aleix García were called up to the senior squad as their replacements.

This afternoon the national team will be put through their paces in a training session which is open to the public on Pitch A at the RFEF headquarters. Doors will open at 18:00 with free admission until full capacity is reached and the session will begin at 19:00.

Valencian fans will also be able to enjoy an open training session in solidarity with the flood victims at the Mestalla. Find out more on how to collaborate here.
