Spain never disappoints — neither on the pitch nor in the stands. On Tuesday afternoon, Luis de la Fuente’s squad held its first training session before an enthusiastic crowd, drawing energy and encouragement from their supporters. Around 1,250 fans of all ages gathered at the home of Spanish football to once again show their immense affection for La Roja.

The session began with a minute of silence in memory of José Manuel Ochotorena.

The national team, facing a crucial double international fixture with qualification for the 2026 World Cup at stake, will remain in camp at Las Rozas until Thursday. On that day, they will travel to Tbilisi to face Georgia on Saturday, November 15. Afterwards, the team will head to Seville to meet Turkey at La Cartuja Stadium on Tuesday, November 18, at 20:45 — a match that could seal a flawless qualification campaign for Spain.

The players felt the passionate support from the packed stands surrounding Field A, as is always the case when the national team opens its doors to the public. Fans braved the cool Las Rozas temperatures with the warmth and excitement of those eager to see their idols up close — the players of the world’s top-ranked national team, according to FIFA.

The main highlights of the session were the return of Pablo Fornals, back with the national team four years after his last call-up, and the arrival of Jorge de Frutos, who joined the squad earlier that morning.

On Wednesday, starting at 11:00 a.m., the team will return to the pitch at Field A of the Ciudad del Fútbol to continue preparing for the first of their two upcoming matches — against Georgia on Saturday, November 15, at 18:00 (Spanish local time).
