A Training Session to Celebrate with the World Champions
The world champions return home, to Ciudad del Fútbol. The place from which they set out to fulfil a dream, and where they return as legends.
Spain now has a date to return to training after reaching the summit of world football. It will be next Tuesday, 22 September, at 19:00 (Spanish mainland time), in a training session set to become a very special celebration with the fans, as it will be open to the public until Field A reaches capacity. The doors of Ciudad del Fútbol will open at 18:00, one hour before the session begins. Admission is free and will be granted until capacity is reached, so fans are advised to arrive early. Once the venue reaches its capacity limit, no further spectators will be allowed to enter.
Training begins at 19:00, with the doors opening at 18:00 until capacity is reached
It will be Spain’s first training session since being crowned world champions, making it an occasion full of emotion and symbolism. For the first time since that triumph, the players will step back onto the pitch to begin a new chapter with the second star on their shirts and the pride of having taken an entire country to glory.
Luis de la Fuente’s side begin the season with four UEFA Nations League matches. The first will be against England at Wembley on 26 September, followed by Croatia at Seville’s Sánchez Pizjuán on the 29th. The match against Czech Republic will be played at the Carlos Tartiere on 3 October, before the camp concludes against Croatia at Split’s Poljud Stadium on 6 October.
On Tuesday 22 September at 19:00, the ball will roll once again. And this time, Spain will do so as two-time world champions.
The training session will be streamed live on the Spain national team’s official channels (@sefutbol).
