Building a Dream
The time for preparation and rehearsals is over. Spain’s national team held their final training session in Arlington on Monday before contesting only the second FIFA World Cup semi-final in the nation's history, taking on France on 14 July.
Despite heavy rain, which did nothing to disrupt the coaching staff’s plans, the squad trained for one hour—the duration stipulated by FIFA on the eve of matches—on the Cotton Bowl pitch. Spain continued their preparations for their two fixtures in Dallas, with all 26 players training normally and available for selection.
The opening 15 minutes of the session were open to the media, while the remainder was devoted to fine-tuning the team’s tactical approach ahead of the contest. Interest was at its peak well before training got underway, with more than 250 journalists in attendance to follow the latest developments from the Spanish camp.
With the hard work complete, Spain now enter the decisive hours before one of the biggest matches in their history. A place in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final is at stake.
