Casa España Welcomes More Than 10,000 Supporters in Atlanta Before Moving Alongside the National Team
The home of Spain’s supporters during the FIFA World Cup will relocate to the Mexican city of Guadalajara this Thursday.
The shared ambition of seeing Spain secure a second World Cup star has proved a powerful draw at the venue that has become the central meeting point for Spanish fans throughout the tournament.
Located in the heart of Atlanta, Casa España has welcomed more than 10,000 supporters over the past week. Visitors have enjoyed a wide range of attractions, including daily live performances, tastings of traditional Spanish products, exhibitions celebrating the national team’s recent achievements, screenings of World Cup matches, photo opportunities with the World Cup trophy, and interactive gaming experiences, among many other activities.
One of the highlights of the past few days was undoubtedly the Fan Walk, which saw thousands of Spain supporters march from Casa España to Atlanta Stadium. The procession transformed the city streets into a sea of red and yellow, providing a vibrant show of support for the national team during its first two matches in the United States.
Following Spain’s victory over Saudi Arabia, supporters at Casa España were also joined by Rafael Louzán and the president of LaLiga, who celebrated the result alongside Spanish fans.
The success of Casa España leaves a lasting legacy in Atlanta, including a large mural in the city’s South Downtown district. The initiative will now move to Guadalajara, where the next edition of Casa España will officially open on Thursday in the historic former Convent of Santa Teresa.
The inauguration will be led by Rafael Louzán, and organisers hope the new venue will provide further inspiration for the national team as it seeks to secure top spot in its group and continue its journey through this exciting FIFA World Cup campaign.
