Casa España Dallas Opens Its Doors to Hope: "Let's Keep Enjoying This World Cup"
RFEF President Rafael Louzán officially inaugurated the meeting point for Spain supporters ahead of Monday's Round of 16 clash against Portugal in Dallas
The road to glory continues for Spain across North America. After stops in Atlanta, Guadalajara and Los Angeles, the city of Dallas has now been swept up in the excitement surrounding the national team, with Casa España serving as the symbolic gathering place for Spain supporters.
Twenty hours before Spain's Round of 16 showdown with Portugal, Casa España Dallas was officially inaugurated on Sunday in the Trinity Groves district, overlooking the city's iconic skyline. The ceremony was led by RFEF President Rafael Louzán, alongside Beth Huddleston, representing the City of Dallas, and Jesús Miguel Sanz Escorihuela, Consul General of Spain in Houston.
A video showcasing the passion surrounding Spain's World Cup campaign both across the Americas and back home in Spain opened the event, prompting Louzán to describe the tournament so far as "an outstanding success."
"We hope Monday will be another great night for Spain," said Louzán. "We want to keep enjoying this World Cup and this wonderful country, which is also inspiring us as we prepare to help organise the 2030 World Cup in our own nation."
His remarks were warmly welcomed by Beth Huddleston, who received a Spain national team jersey from the RFEF President before presenting him with a Dallas scarf. She concluded her speech with a heartfelt "¡Viva España!", drawing enthusiastic applause from those in attendance.
Casa España Dallas will remain open on Monday, 6 July, from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time in Trinity Groves, offering Spain supporters a full programme of activities. Visitors will be able to explore an exhibition celebrating the national team's recent achievements, enjoy traditional Spanish food and products, take photographs with the FIFA World Cup Trophy, and watch Spain's decisive Round of 16 match against Portugal live as they cheer the team on in its pursuit of a place in the quarter-finals.
