Copa del Rey and Copa de la Reina Draws to Take Place on January 7
The Copa del Rey MAPFRE Round of 16 draw will begin at 1:00 PM CET, followed by the Copa de la Reina Iberdrola quarterfinal draw at 4:30 PM CET.
The Luis Aragonés Hall at the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas will host the first major draws of the new football year on Wednesday, January 7, featuring a total of 12 matchups across both competitions.
Copa del Rey MAPFRE: Round of 16 Draw
The first draw of 2026 will take place at 1:00 PM (CET), when the Round of 16 pairings for the Copa del Rey MAPFRE will be revealed. One team is still to be confirmed, pending the outcome of the tie between Granada CF and Rayo Vallecano, to be played on January 6.
The teams already through are:
Second Division (5):
RC Deportivo, CyD Leonesa, Real Racing Club de Santander, Albacete Balompié, Burgos CF
First Division (10):
Elche CF, Real Sociedad, Valencia CF, FC Barcelona, Atlético de Madrid, CA Osasuna, Deportivo Alavés, Real Madrid CF, Real Betis Balompié
The Round of 16 matches will be played on January 13, 14 and 15.
Copa de la Reina Iberdrola Sets Its Sights on the Semifinals
Later in the afternoon, at 4:30 PM (CET), the quarterfinal draw for the Copa de la Reina Iberdrola will take place. Following a thrilling Round of 16 weekend packed with goals and excitement, the eight teams entering the draw are:
Athletic Club, CD Tenerife Femenino, FC Levante LP Badalona, Real Madrid CF, Madrid CFF, Real Sociedad, FC Barcelona and Atlético de Madrid.
The four quarterfinal ties will be played on February 3, 4 and 5.
