All four clubs vying for the 2026 Spanish Super Cup title are now ready for the challenge.

With FC Barcelona and Athletic Club already training at the Alinma Stadium facilities, the lineup for this 42nd edition was completed on Tuesday with the arrival in Jeddah of Atlético de Madrid and Real Madrid CF, both traveling from the Spanish capital.

Atlético Madrid, winners of the competition in 1985 and 2014, touched down shortly after 7:00 p.m. local time in Saudi Arabia’s second-largest city and headed straight to their team hotel, the Shangri-La Jeddah. Meanwhile, Real Madrid — champions on 13 occasions since 1988 and finalists in each of the last four editions — completed their journey at 10:50 p.m. and later checked in at the Hilton Jeddah.

The teams coached by Xabi Alonso and Diego Pablo Simeone will face each other this Thursday, January 8, in the second semifinal. Prior to that, the protagonists of the Madrid derby will address the media and hold their training sessions on Wednesday on the adjacent pitches of the impressive Saudi stadium, which will host the match that same evening to decide the first ticket to the final.
