Rafael Louzán Meets with the President of the Argentine Football Association in Buenos Aires
During his trip to Chile to accompany the Spanish national team at the U-20 World Cup, the president of the RFEF traveled to the Argentine capital to meet with his South American counterpart and the Spanish ambassador to Argentina.
The president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, Rafael Louzán, visited Buenos Aires, where he met with Claudio Fabián Tapia, president of the Argentine Football Association (AFA), and Joaquín de Arístegui, Spain’s ambassador to Argentina.
In a cordial meeting—the second between both leaders this year in Buenos Aires—they discussed various matters of mutual interest for the footballing communities of both countries, whose national teams are the current champions of their respective continents.
Spain and Argentina will also co-host the 2030 FIFA World Cup. Some of the opening matches will be played in Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay, before the tournament continues in Spain, Morocco, and Portugal—making it a historic FIFA event spread across six countries on three different continents.
President Louzán traveled to Buenos Aires from Chile, where he is accompanying Spain’s U-20 men’s team at the ongoing World Cup. The side, coached by Paco Gallardo, will face Mexico this Wednesday in their second group-stage match at Santiago’s National Stadium.
