The senior officials of the Spanish Football Federation, Rafael Louzán, and FIFA, Gianni Infantino, attended the match at Atlanta Stadium on Sunday, where Spain achieved a significant win that places the national side at the top of its World Cup group.

Goals from Lamine Yamal, Marc Cucurella, and two from Mikel Oyarzabal secured Spain’s victory in a match that featured a strong institutional presence in Atlanta, including the city’s mayor, Andre Dickens, among other dignitaries who attended the World Cup fixture.

At half-time, the president of the RFEF presented a personalised shirt bearing Gianni Infantino’s name, who expressed his gratitude and reciprocated by gifting Rafael Louzán a commemorative pennant for this group-stage match of the FIFA World Cup.

In turn, the RFEF president also exchanged gifts with his counterpart from the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, Yasser Al-Misehal, during an international occasion marking the fourth meeting in the historical series between the two national teams, which was also attended by Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Sport, Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal.

In addition to its president, the Royal Spanish Football Federation was represented in Atlanta by its vice-president Sergio Merchán, secretary general Álvaro de Miguel, general director Manuel Lalinde, director of institutional relations Eduard Desvishaj, as well as Fran Soto, head of the Referees Committee, and national team director Aitor Karanka.
