Having completed an unbeaten tour of the United States and consolidated their position at the top of the FIFA rankings, Spain’s senior women’s national team will return to the pitch in late November to play two friendly matches. The reigning world champions will round off the year by taking on Chile and Venezuela on 28 November and 4 December, respectively, with Reino de León and Riazor set to host the fixtures.

In the first match, Spain will face Chile at 18:00, in an exciting encounter against the current runners-up at the Pan American Games. The match, which has never previously been played, will take place at the home of Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa, which has a capacity of 13,075 spectators. It will also mark the national team’s first visit to the city, thanks to the collaboration of León City Council and the Royal Football Federation of Castilla y León.

Six days later, the team will play the second match of this training camp—their final one of the year—at 21:00 in A Coruña. Their opponents will be Venezuela, who finished third in the most recent CONMEBOL Women’s Nations League. The two senior national teams have never met before, either. Riazor, home of RC Deportivo, does, however, have a history of hosting Spain: in 2019, the national team beat Azerbaijan 4–0, and in 2024 they defeated Belgium 2–0, thanks to goals from Aitana Bonmatí and Teresa Abelleira.

The latter fixture, promoted by A Coruña City Council and the Royal Galician Football Federation, will also have a significant charitable purpose, with proceeds going to the victims of the earthquakes that struck Venezuela last June.

With the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil in their sights, taking place from 24 June to 25 July, these two matches will allow Spain to continue preparing for the major international tournament, where they will aim to defend the title they won in 2023.
