Spanish fans are ready to set the course of the final in Germany
This Friday, November 28, the team of everyone and for everyone heads to Germany for the first leg of the UEFA Women’s Nations League final. It’s a crucial showdown, and Spanish supporters are being rallied to fill the stands in Kaiserslautern.
From 20:30 onwards, the ball will start rolling on the turf of the Fritz-Walter-Stadion, and the RFEF urges the more than two hundred thousand Spaniards residing in Germany to come out and support the national side in this first battle to defend their crown.
The campaign features the image of Spain’s crest on a sun-tanned back next to the warning Achtung! (“danger” or “attention” in German), under the slogan “España marca” (“Spain scores”). It highlights both the significance of a clash that could decide much of the final and the strong ties between the two nations. After all, more than eleven million German tourists visited Spain last year, alongside over one hundred thousand Germans who live permanently across the Peninsula, the Balearic Islands and the Canaries.
Spanish university students currently in Germany on Erasmus also have an unbeatable opportunity to enjoy La Selección up close in Kaiserslautern as they chase the Nations League title.
Current world champions and No. 1 in the FIFA rankings, the squad led by Sonia Bermúdez will land in Germany this Thursday for their first contact with the host country, training there on the eve of their clash with the German side.
Securing a strong result at the Fritz-Walter-Stadion—and being able to celebrate it with fans roaring from the stands—will be vital before finishing the job on December 2 at the Metropolitano in Madrid, where tens of thousands of supporters will gather for the decisive chapter of this unforgettable Nations League final.
