The RFEF and the Turkish Football Federation sign cooperation agreement in Konya

This cooperation agreement establishes a wide range of areas such as women’s football, youth national teams, football development and joint projects.

The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) have signed this Saturday in Konya a cooperation agreement on the occasion of the qualifying match for the 2026 World Cup that will pit the national teams of both countries against each other this Sunday at 20:45 CET at the Büyükşehir Belediye Arena.

The two presidents, Rafael Louzán and İbrahim Ethem Hacıosmanoğlu, have signed this cooperation agreement which establishes a wide range of areas such as women’s football, youth national teams and football development. In addition, it aims to launch joint projects that will benefit both parties through the integration of the football cultures and experiences of these two friendly nations.

This agreement also seeks to foster mutual contributions in preparation for the 2030 FIFA World Cup, which our country will organise together with Morocco and Portugal, and the EURO 2032, which will be jointly hosted by Turkey and Italy.

The president of the RFEF has also taken advantage of the Spanish National Team’s visit to the Turkish city of Konya to hold a meeting with its mayor, Uğur İbrahim Altay, at City Hall.
