Next June, the Football Federation of the Balearic Islands (FFIB) will celebrate its first 100 years of existence, and several commemorative events are taking place in the lead-up to the celebration, which will reach one of its highlights next Saturday with the centenary gala in Mallorca.

For this reason, the RFEF organized the meeting of regional federation presidents on the Balearic island this Friday. During the event, FFIB president Jordi Horrach welcomed president Rafael Louzán and the other participants, stating that “it is a source of pride to welcome you here on the occasion of the centenary of the Balearic Federation, which we are celebrating this year with great affection and enthusiasm.”

During the meeting, new financial aid programs aimed at improving federation-owned sports facilities were presented, along with the Origen 2026 Program, which will allocate two million euros to youth development football for clubs in the First, Second, and Third Federation divisions.

Other topics discussed during the meeting in Mallorca included reviewing the formats of various competitions and analyzing the requirements for registering underage footballers. Mallorca’s Son Moix Stadium will also host the Spanish National Team on June 5 in a Women’s World Cup qualifying match against England.
