From early in the morning, excitement was already building around Ciudad del Fútbol. A long queue of fans waited to enter the venue and watch the world champions train for the first time since winning the biggest prize in world football.

As soon as the doors of the federation’s headquarters opened, fans rushed in, eager to see the players who had earned Spain its second star on the national team shirt. The 26 internationals called up by Luis de la Fuente responded by signing autographs and posing for photographs following the first session of a training camp that marks the start of the new season.

The day also featured gifts for the spectators, who received various souvenirs throughout the event. The atmosphere around the facilities was one of constant celebration, with chants and applause accompanying the players for much of the session.

The initiative, which is repeated at the start of every training camp, once again provided a clear display of the close bond between the national team and its supporters, turning the training session into much more than a routine workout. The fans responded, and so did the players, producing a memorable session for everyone in attendance.
