A dream night for Teresa Abelleira

It is often said that you always return to the place where you were happy. Teresa Abelleira spent four years of her life in the city of La Coruña, forming part of the ranks of RC Deportivo. Between 2016 and 2020, the Pontevedra-born player displayed her footballing talent in the capital of A Coruña, before heading to Real Madrid.

Four years later, Teresa returned to the Riazor Stadium, this time in the Spanish national team shirt. The Spain international acknowledged that she was excited to return to the stadium where she took her first steps in professional football.

In the stands she was accompanied by family and friends, who were able to enjoy the Spanish National Team victory against Belgium and Teresa's magical right-footed shot that looped into Lichtfus' goal when the match was in its closing stages.
