On location in Valencia the national coach announced his squad of 27 players who have been called up for the double-header against the Netherlands on 20 and 23 March 2025.

Jorge Greus, goalkeeper for Paiporta Club de Fútbol, David Serra, centre-back for Unió Benetússer Favara, Mario García, midfielder for Unión Deportiva Aldaia and Jorge Monforte, striker for Catarroja CF, appeared in the video of the squad announcement together with Luis de la Fuente as a way to pay tribute to the people most affected by the storms last October. A way of showing the affection and support of Spanish football towards Valencia.

After the squad was announced and before the national team coach spoke to the media from the Mestalla, Luis de la Fuente wanted to share a special moment with the four players and gave them a national team shirt with their names on. A unique moment that left us with a photo to remember from the stage where the second leg of the UEFA Nations League quarter-final against the Netherlands will be played.
