Among the nominees, a quarter are Spanish players. Joining Aitana Bonmatí are Ona Batlle, Salma Paralluelo, and Mariona Caldentey, highlighting the exceptional level and performance of women’s football in Spain.
The list also includes Barbra Banda, Caroline Graham Hansen, Keira Walsh, Khadija Shaw, Lauren Hemp, Lucy Bronze, Mallory Swanson, Naomi Girma, Sophia Smith, Tabitha Chawinga, and Trinity Rodman.
The winner of The Best is decided through voting, with weighting equally divided among coaches, captains, fans, and journalists, with each group contributing 25% to the total. Fans can cast their votes openly through FIFA’s official voting platform.
This award recognises the player’s performance throughout the season, and voting will remain open until Tuesday, 10th December, at 11:59 PM via FIFA’s official website.
