Ancelotti: ‘The team is close to its best’.
The Real Madrid coach spoke to the media after Real Madrid's victory over RCD Mallorca in the second semi-final of the Spanish Super Cup at the Al Jawhara Stadium in Jeddah.
The Whites won 3-0 thanks to three goals in the last half hour of the game, scored by Bellingham, a Valjent own goal and Rodrygo.
The Italian coach acknowledged that their opponents, RCD Mallorca, competed very well against Real Madrid and that they made it difficult for them: ‘We started well, but Mallorca made it challenging for us’.
Ancelotti was full of praise for his team, especially Kylian Mbappé, who he said played his best minutes as a Real Madrid player today: ‘I don't think Mbappé has reached his best level, because with the quality he has, I don't know how far he can go’.
The Reggiolo coach was satisfied with the level shown by his side: ‘It was a good version of the team today and I think we deserved to win. We will prepare for the match against Barcelona in the same way’.
Finally, Carlo Ancelotti concluded the press conference by stating that ‘The team is pretty close to its best level. We have to look for continuity in our game and in the results and now it's going well’.
