Scoring a hat -trick is nothing new for Salma Paralluelo. In a match as important as her debut with the senior national team, 11 November 2022, the FC Barcelona striker scored three goals in Spain's thrashing of Argentina.

At just 20 years of age, Salma has played a total of 20 games for Spain, scoring on 12 occasions. Against Belgium, Salma opened the scoring in the eighth minute, taking advantage of a rebound in the box. Her second of the game came after Alexia Putellas' beautiful back-heel, which the stricker slotted into the back of Lisa Lichtfus’ net. Her final goal, Spain's fourth, came from the left flank after a pass from Ona Batlle.

After the match in Leuven, the Spanish striker admitted that she hopes to "do my utmost for my country", adding that "this team has no ceiling, we leave everything on the pitch and I am very proud to be part of it".

As for the match ball, Salma said that "I'll take it home as a souvenir and I hope all my teammates sign it for me", concluded the Aragonese player.
