After Luis de la Fuente had spoken to the media, it was Ferran Torres’ turn to face the press. The Spanish international and FC Barcelona forward began by discussing the upcoming clash between Spain and the Netherlands. "We believe in ourselves, and we are going to fight for the win no matter what."

"Hopefully, I can play, score, and help us qualify. That would be the perfect night for me in a stadium where I’ve played so many matches, and now I’m back here wearing the national team shirt," the forward enthused.

When asked about the significance of playing this match in Valencia following the devastation caused by the tragic storms late last year, Ferran Torres said, "It’s really important to be here playing this game, especially after the tough times the people of Valencia have been through. Hopefully, we can bring them some joy and help them forget about everything for a little while through the joy of football."

"I’m someone who works really hard. I never set limits for myself. Every time I get minutes on the pitch, I try to make the most of them to earn even more opportunities," Ferran said regarding his prospects of playing.

Speaking about the fans, the Valencia-born player added, "We hope the crowd will be our twelfth man, that they push us forward and support us with all they’ve got. They are going to be a key part of this match."

"I value myself, and that’s the most important thing. My coaches also give me a lot of confidence," Ferran Torres concluded.
