At 18:15 today from the Mestalla’s press room, Luis de la Fuente addressed the media in a press conference, beginning with a heartfelt message to the people of Valencia. "I want to express my gratitude to the city of Valencia and to the fans. What we experienced yesterday is something I don’t recall ever seeing before. We are certain that tomorrow, with a full stadium, the atmosphere will be one for the history books. From the bottom of my heart, thank you."

Speaking about the shape of his squad after the first leg, the Spanish coach said, "The entire squad is in tip top condition. Morata had a stomach issue yesterday, but he’s completely fine now. Le Normand trained separately yesterday, but he’s doing well. Everyone will be available for tomorrow."

"The players always give their all, and it’s a pleasure to coach them. We will try to minimise the Netherlands’ strengths; they are a fantastic team with players in top form. Statistically, we were the better side. Playing to our own strengths, we are also capable of making things difficult for them," Luis de la Fuente said, praising his team.

When asked about his squad selections for the first leg of the Nations League quarter-finals, the manager responded, "This is a squad full of top-level players, and I manage it like any normal team. Some players have to be left off of the team sheet. Asensio is happy to be here and to experience this environment. Everyone who misses out stays positive and shows great team spirit."

"We will try to be more effective in defence while continuing to display the same talent and efficiency in attack," De la Fuente commented before the upcoming match against the Netherlands at the Mestalla.

To wrap up the press conference, the Spain manager once again praised his squad. "I am lucky to have 26 fantastic players, plus many others who could also be here. I could easily form two top quality national teams. They always put the team first, and that is one of our greatest strengths."
