On Fabián: "He’s happy, absolutely delighted and really eager to play. You can imagine how he feels after winning a title like the Champions League. He’s motivated and, most importantly, hungry for more."

"We have 26 players ready to deal with any kind of adversity"

On the Nations League: "We have to be clear about the situation. The Nations League is a very difficult competition that puts ten difficult matches in front of you if you want to become champions. The 16 best national teams are here... In this final four, there are also three previous World Cup winners and four European champions."

On who are the favourites: "At this stage there are no favourites, they are all top teams. Talking about favourites in matches of this level, even if this sounds a bit cliché, the matches will be decided by very small details. We appreciate the compliments, but there are no favourites."

"All the players are in perfect condition"

On the feeling in the squad: "We have fantastic memories of this city, this stadium and this country. Here in Germany, we enjoyed 45 incredible days and really felt the respect of the fans. Being among the contenders to win the Nations League excites and motivates us enormously."

On the Ballon d’Or: "You have to appreciate that he’s (Yamal) an extraordinary footballer. I prioritise the player’s quality, that he’s special and sets the benchmark in world football, and then I consider the trophies... if you ask me, my vote will go to Lamine, Fabián, Pedri or any other Spanish player with a chance."

On the opponent: "To stop their attackers, who are quick and strong, we have to trust in the strength of our team. Supporting and covering each other will be very important, as will winning individual duels, we’ll go into every challenge with determination and confidence. We want to take the initiative. Our players also deserve respect and recognition."
